NPEC Site NPEC Wastewater Treatment Plant (WTP)

Situated in Nuriootpa, SA, with a capacity to treat 250ML p.a of winery wastewater from Penfolds and Tarac, this plant produces recycled water for irrigation.

JJC operates this plant for NPEC. The plant includes:

  • 22ML Covered Anaerobic Lagoon
  • 120ML Surge Lagoon
  • 10ML Aerated Lagoon.
  • 70ML Winter Storage.
  • Sludge handling plant.
  • Treated water filtration & distribution network.

Treated wastewater is supplied to neighbouring vineyards and industry.
